I think this movie is like a 5/10, ‘an ok Saturday Night’ if you can see it for free. I think Jay of the Dead’s enthusiasum was not entirely misplaced, but the criticisim from Bill Chete & Lady Phantom is justified.

What really stuck in my craw was how this movie was trying to be a 1980’s period piece, but it didn’t feel like that at all. Those ‘kids’ did not look like or talk like 80’s kids at all. Bad writing! Bad costumes!
The concept of the movie was pretty cool, just fell short.

I know we’re supposed to have monster/horror names in this forum, so I’m going with ‘Kaiju Nick’.

Completely agreed. Seeing as I grew up in the 70’s-80’s, but I remember the 80’s more clearly, it irks me when movies don’t nail production design that is supposed to look like that time frame.
Cool name! It’s not required, but definitely welcome!
