Dolls are creepy. I’ve spoken.
I was excited about this movie and then I started hearing negative things about it. I think on considering the cinema? But now Lady Phantom and Bill Chete have got me super interested again!
Yay! It is actually very good. But of course, you have to go with the lore they give you. If you do, I think it makes more sense that some random 6 feet tall guy moving a doll quickly and getting behind a wall. I hope you like it.
Out of all the movies y’all have reviewed, this is the most baffled I have been. I saw it in the theatre and thought it was a good, slightly above average, typical movie. I loved the original movie and I feel I now need to rewatch it… I came in around a 6*. Like J, I was pretty bored.
Well, to each their own, Sam. I personally like the original, but to be honest, I was so disappointed with the reveal… plus, it doesn’t make sense for all the things that happen. Also, I think the overall tone of the sequel is creepier, not to mention the acting, which is better. But hey, we can’t all like the same things.
@ Dr. Acula: It is SO WORTH it! So much scarier and creepier than the first!
@Sam: Yes do rewatch it and blare the music, it is SCARY!
Overall, I really think people have this idea that the ending was so cool in the original, and it is, but I dare to ask everyone remember any other scene in that movie! The Boy II is frightening as hell, and so subtle in scenes in purely freaks you out. Give it a chance and go back and watch the first one, you will see it makes TOTAL sense!
