Premise:
For those who don’t know, “Pride and Prejudice” is a romantic novel written by author Jane Austen in 1813. And to characterize it in a very reductive nutshell, it has to do with a family of daughters who are trying to find suitable (and rich enough suitors) for their daughters to marry. This novel is very popular and has had several filmic adaptations — the best of which, by the way, is the BBC mini series from 1995, starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth. In 2009, Seth Grahame-Smith wrote a parody novel called “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies,” so this movie is about the five Bennett daughters who are still trying to find wealthy suitors, while also dealing with a Zombie Apocalypse in England.
