Merry Christmas from Horror Movie Weekly, One Badass Horror Podcast! When you listen to Episode 069, it’s like a Christmas party in a podcast! So, pour your egg nog, turn on the Christmas lights, and get ready for a festive episode. Your three late-night Horror hosts, Jay of the Dead, BillChete, and Lady Phantom bring you a Feature Review of the Christmas Horror movie Await Further Instructions (2018). This review comes in two parts. First, we debate ad nauseam about whether this film is “Christmasy” enough to be considered a Christmas Horror movie. You’ll get a sense of your hosts’ preferences for “Seasonal Horror Movie-Watching.”
Then we fall into a Yuletide rabbit hole with random discussions of our favorite, non-Horror Christmas movies and Lady Phantom’s feelings about the song “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” You’ll get to hear BillChete get nostalgic about his Christmas memories, and we even discuss our favorite childhood Christmas presents, including the awesomeness of Underoos! Eventually, we do return to our review of “Await Further Instructions,” so we hope you’ll join us! Remember, you’re always welcome to call and leave us a voicemail at (801) 215-9704. Thanks for listening!

No further instructions, just comments!
I watched this movie the Sunday morning that this episode dropped JUST so I could listen along! As always, I enjoyed everything you three said. The thing I enjoyed MOST was Phantom’s opinion on the song “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” I completely agree that the song has NOTHING to do with sexual coercion or rape-culture. It’s a cute song where they’re both flirting! They both have agency and are just having some fun! Ha ha. Phantom is spot on about this song.
As for the movie, I enjoyed those first two acts, but man… I’m not sure what was even happening there at the end. I often like it when things go off the rails, but I dunno about this. Stellar work, yet again, my friends.
RIGHT??? THANK YOU!! Don’t even get me started. I LOATHE John Legend’s version. People see what they want to see.
You’re right. That cable monster, man. Ugh.
