  1. Hi there,
Lucky Spawn, so cool you watched “The Descent” with him… It’s so, so good! One of the very best, and I love the movie as is, but also think just being trapped in a cave is terrifying enough as a premise! All those tight shots, all claustrophobic up in there… *shudders*

I am glad I checked out “Daniel Isn’t Real”, have been putting it aside for viewing for a while. Good review. I was happy to see Mary Stuart Masterson in something again (forever in my heart as Watts, and Idgie!). I appreciated the artsy-ness of the film, but that couldn’t carry it back from that deep end of a 3rd act. I still liked the first 2/3 of the movie, but for me it lands in the pile of wth happened/okaaaaay endings.

    1. The Descent absolutely rules! You are 100% spot on about that!

Regarding Daniel Isn’t Real… I totally forgot Mary Stuart Masterson was in this! I wish I’d remembered because I recently watched a western film she was in with Drew Barrymore back in the early 90s called Bad Girls.

I don’t seem to have the problems with the third act that you and my co-hosts have, but I understand. Ha ha. The filmmakers made a decision about where they wanted to take this film, and they leaned HARD into it there. I get it. 🙂

Thanks so much for commenting, by the way! You are great, Libby!
