Watson and his ‘dirty’ picks, I might check this one out.
Hellraiser: Judgment? I’ll listen to the episode but most likely skip the movie, questioning the judgement of Jay of the Dead.
Great episode, guys!
If I had to watch Judgement Day 2 times, then you can give it one go…even if it’s just on in the background.
But seriously, it does have some great effects and some pretty cool gross out scenes.
Glad you liked the episode. Let us know if yuh like Bliss if you do get around to watching it.
Nope, not gonna do it (in my Dana Carvey voice).
I don’t have to suffer bad movies. That’s why I listen to excellent reviewers like yourself, Jay & Watson. I need good people like you to help me separate the wheat from the chaff.
Guys! Guys!
I saw the ‘Shape of Horror’ again!
“The Curse of the Werewolf” (1961), about 28:40 min into the film, when they are baptizing the little werewolf baby, there it is!!! I was so excited I had to pause the movie to come and tell you!
I’m so proud of my second ‘Shape of Horror’ find in the great Hammer Horror canon!
The first find was in “The Curse of Frankenstein”.
Your show is excellent, guys, I’m always looking forward to your next episode!
I’m not sure why it’s the shape of horror, but I guess it is.
Jay of the Dead, could you please explain ‘The Shape of Horror’ to us again. I forgot what it means. Sorry.
All I know is hexagon!
All hail the hexagon.
Hail yes!
‘Horror of Dracula’ (1958)
–Jonathan Harker’s room in the castle–the fabric pattern on the bed (canopy & curtain)
–Van Helsing’s study–window lattice
–Lucy’s room outside the patio doors–the roof tiles. This example is pretty amazing. We see a closeup of Dracula outside the doors with a whole bunch of hexes behind him!
I’m ALWAYS on the lookout for the Shape of Horror! Good find, my friend!
That amazing shot of Christopher Lee’s Dracula, that shot of him with all of those shapes (of horror) behind him, OMG OMG!!! The best I have seen! Absolutely stunning!
Werewolf baby baptism–Absolutely stunning! Watson, you have no idea!!!!!!
These older horror movies are out of the HMW wheelhouse, but the shape is still there!!
