  1. Since no one else posted a comment i’ll do it. Idc about Easter but hope you guys had a good one! Me I’ve been depressed since that day which really just hit me writing this. Must’ve been the thoughts of my childhood when Easter was so fun & my mom was around. I remember delivering newspapers with mom & once there was a praying mantis in the box. So lady phantom praying mantis are cool looking creatures that wont hurt nobody. The praying mantis alone makes me wanna see this movie. Just remembered I gotta see the new leprechaun movie to be in tune with your next episode which should be a blast. Anyway hope everyone is well & see ya next episode!

    1. I’m so sorry you feel/felt sad, Tony. Easter is important to me because I’m Catholic, but I don’t really have any memories associated with it, except for Easter Mass. But yeah, these times have the ability to make you remember those who you love and especially those who are not with us anymore. I believe in time all will be well; these are crazy times indeed.
I’m sorry Tony, but I think praying mantises are creepy looking. I personally find them super scary. I’m glad you like them, but I just don’t. I don’t care if they are harmless, I just don’t like them. I wouldn’t kill one, but that’s because they’re creepy and I wouldn’t get close enough to them. That being said, the one in this movie is as beautiful as it is creepy to me.

  2. The HP Lovecraft stories are so hard to put on film well! I do need to go back and reread this short story, but from my first impression, this is pretty good take on this story and the Lovecraft universe. Setting the story in its correct historical time would have been more effective, I think, but probably too expensive for the budget of this movie.

  3. Thanks lady Phantom! No religious thing to me just great memories of getting Easter baskets & Easter egg hunts & making Easter eggs with my mom. She treated it like a mini Christmas so just great memories & miss her very much! I’m glad you wont kill one cuz what they do is eat bugs to keep other ones away from you so they’re protectors in a way. Phantom I appreciate you keeping up with the comments much appreciated!

    1. I’m really glad you have such great memories of Easter. In Mexico the eggs and basket are just not a thing, so I never did any of that. Actually, I find the whole thing a little puzzling. But it definitely sounds like you have precious memories associated with it, and that’s amazing. And yeah, missing your mom is horrible. I also miss mine terribly.

As for bugs, the only ones I kill without regrets are flies, mosquitoes and roaches. I hate them. And you know what, now that I think of it, I’ve ever only seen a praying mantis in person once in my life. It was outside my house, by the window. Creepy little thing.

As for keeping up with the comments, don’t mention it. I am just very thankful for you and everyone else who leaves comments. You are the ones we do this for!

  4. Yeah we americanize everything lol it’s good for the kids though so no complaints. I don’t like killing things but ants, crickets & sprickets I’ve had to kill a plenty but only if in the house otherwise i leave em alone but you wanna talk about scary creepy then sprickets are it. Ugh the thoughts of em. I’m sorry you lost your mom too! I’m sure she was awesome & she raised a great person in you so salute to her! We’re all thankful for you guys too & what you do. Really glad you 3 came back to podcasting as love the show!

    1. Yeah, me too. I kill bugs only if they’re in the house… although, if i step on a roach on the street, I’m not batting an eye. Hehe!
Yeah, I lost my mom 20 years ago. Very surreal stuff. Thank you; I try to do my best, but I sometimes mess up. She was amazing, really.
Once again, thank YOU. We have fun doing the podcast, but it’s you guys that give it meaning.

  5. Yeah not 2 years yet for me but soon enough & surreal is definitely the correct word to use. Well you’re only human so can’t be perfect but I know she’s proud of you. Yep we all come together for our love of horror & i always look forward to Sunday morning to spend some time hanging with you guys!

    1. Thank you, Tony. It’s really our pleasure.
Ouch… that’s still too soon. In time you start to think only of the good things, the funny ones, etc. But everything passes.
