Happy Halloween this month! It’s time for Episode 189 right now, dammit. So, roll over. Get out of bed. Put on some pants, and welcome to Horror Movie Weekly, “One Badass Horror Podcast,” where Jay of the Dead and Mister Watson review the Sci-Fi Horror film Almost Human (2014), which is the feature directorial debut of indie filmmaker and Horror heavy-hitter, Joe Begos. Before that, your favorite guys provide Micro Horror Movie Reviews of Loop Track (2023) and Charlie’s Farm (2014). Plus, we regale you with tales of listener and friend of the show, Monkeybone, who takes Jay’s old comedy songs to karaoke, Watson formally recalibrates his Bloodlines (2007) rating, the hosts compare their Dead Serious film-rating philosophies, and the guys discover that New Zealand and Australia may not be as acoustically interchangeable as they thought. Join us! You know you want to!
Note: This episode was recorded 211 days ago on March 26, 2026, Horror actor Joe Anderson’s birthday. He turned 44 that day. You have probably seen him in “Creep” (2004), “The Ruins” (2008), and “The Crazies” (2010).

This weekly Horror movie podcast brings you one recent Horror movie review every Sunday. (As noted previously, we’re defining “recent” as any Horror movie released within the last five years or the current year; so now that it’s 2026, we’ll be covering Horror films from 2005 to 2015.) And we always reveal next week’s pick at the end of every show, so you can watch along with us and be prepared for the following episode. Thanks for listening!
