Ep. 101: Terrified (2018)

Horror Movie Weekly 101: Terrified 2018

Countdown to Halloween! It’s only a week away! In Episode 101, Horror Movie Weekly welcomes a brand-new lady Horror co-host, Projectile Varmint (aka Suzie), from Connecticut. So, here your three late night Horror hosts — Jay of the Dead, Mister Watson and Projectile Varmint — bring you a Feature Review of what our hosts call “one of the scariest Horror releases of the 2010s decade,” a film from Argentina called Terrified (2018)! And of course, we also bring you some Micro Horror Movie Reviews about aliens and pregnancy. You know, the usual stuff. Remember, you’re always welcome to call and leave us a voicemail at (801) 215-9704.

Note: This episode was recorded on August 9, 2021 but wasn’t released until October 25, 2021.

This weekly Horror movie podcast brings you one recent Horror movie review every Sunday. (We’re defining “recent” as any Horror movie released within the last five years, so now that it’s 2021, we’ll be covering Horror films from 2016 to the present.) And we always reveal next week’s pick at the end of every show, so you can watch along with us and be prepared for the following episode. Join us, and thanks for listening!

  1. I listened to the episode this morning–great work (and great film). Jackson and I just dropped a new episode covering Halloween H20 and Halloween: Resurrection with a roller derby coach from the state of Connecticut–Amy Swan! Projectile is awesome. Keep up the great work.

    1. Thanks for the compliment! I apologize for my crappy audio. Total noob. I feel like everyone knows someone from Connecticut. Little state, big attitude. I’ll check out yor episode. I just caught Halloween Kills. I am not a superfan of the franchise, but I’ve seen em all. And, I will probably see the next ten that come out as well. Thanks for listening.

  2. ‘I am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House’ is so so awesome!! Spooky spooky. Great scary movie!

  3. Septuagenarian: Interesting insights and analysis, Projectile Varmint. Enjoyed your debut.

  4. I hadn’t checked in for a couple months after the HMW dry spell started, and now I check back and there are a bunch of new episodes to catch up on. Sweet!

Projectile Varmint is an awesome addition, and Jay and Watson bring it as always. I watched Terrified after listening to Doc’s review on HMP a while back and it was pretty dang frightening. I need to revisit it soon.

Looking forward to the episode catch up, and great job guys.
