Ep. 117: Death of Me (2020)

Horror Movie Weekly Ep. 117: Death of Me 2020

What if you had a wild night of partying, and you couldn’t remember anything the next day? And what if you found some video on your phone from the night before that shows you killing your significant other? Then you would either get arrested or have a Netflix Horror movie made about you. You get the latter in Episode 117 of Horror Movie Weekly, where your late-night Horror hosts — Jay of the Dead, Mister Watson and Projectile Varmint — bring you a Feature Review of Death of Me (2020), a movie has lots of “cooter snakes” and short shorts. We also bring you some micro Horror movie reviews of two different movies titled “I Think We’re Alone Now” and a Sci-Fi Horror movie called “Pandorum” (2009). Also, word to the wise: Never tell a lady to “calm down” or “relax.” Remember, you are welcome to call and leave us a voicemail at (801) 215-9704. Join us!

Note: This episode was recorded a long time ago, and was released on May 8, 2022.

This weekly Horror movie podcast brings you one recent Horror movie review every Sunday. (We’re defining “recent” as any Horror movie released within the last five years, so now that it’s 2022, we’ll be covering Horror films from 2017 to the present.) And we always reveal next week’s pick at the end of every show, so you can watch along with us and be prepared for the following episode. Join us, and thanks for listening!

  1. ‘Shape of Horror’ is being spotted in video games now, Guys. I figure I should not site my examples here, just keep it to the movies, I think.
But maybe if you nag me enough, maybe I’ll tell you.

  2. ‘Shape of Horror’ seen in music videos now, Guys. Weird Al Yankovic – White & Nerdy (action figures).

  3. Guys!! OMG!! Shape of Horror is in ‘Dawn of the Dead’! When the bikers invade the mall.

  4. Jay of the Dead, reposting my comment here.
Here we are at maybe the most important horror anniversary of shame all time and all my faithful horror podcasts are going, like, “Yawn. . . .What’s going on, guys, ever heard of this guy called Dracula? Nosferatu?”
“Nope, never heard of him, please more violence, please more violence and gore–Yawn”

I feel so ashamed, Jay of the Dead, It’s really shameful!!!!

March 1922 = release of ‘Nosferatu’ in Germany. It’s been 100 years, guys! It’s been a full century of Dracula films! All of my horror podcasts are asleep at the wheel! Shame on you guys!!
