Ep. 143: Ghost Watch (1992)

Horror Movie Weekly Ep. 143: Ghostwatch (1992)

Happy belated Father’s Day! Oh, and “glory holes” and Ghost Cats — and “chittens”! Welcome to a very spooky and unusual episode of Horror Movie Weekly, One Badass Horror Podcast. Here in Episode 143, your Fearsome Foursome — Jay of the Dead, Mister Watson, Projectile Varmint and Channy Dreadful — welcome back special guest Kagan Breitenbach, who recommended this week’s Feature Review, which amounts to Britain’s filmic version of Orson Welles’ 1938 “War of the Worlds” radio broadcast, a movie called Ghostwatch (1992).

Even though this film was released outside of our more recent parameters, we decided to review Kagan’s recommendation due to its historical significance in the Horror genre! Micro Horror Movie Reviews of The Changeling (1980), Infinity Pool (2023), End of Days (1999) and to a lesser extent, even tinier, partial reviews of Brooklyn 45 (2023), Consecration (2023) and The Boogey Man (2023). Remember, you are welcome to call and leave us a voicemail at our working voicemail number: (801) 899-9798.

Note: This episode was recorded on June 14, 2023, and was released on July 23, 2023.

This weekly Horror movie podcast brings you one recent Horror movie review every Sunday. (We’re defining “recent” as any Horror movie released within the last five years or the current year; so now that it’s 2023, we’ll be covering Horror films from 2018 to the present.) And we always reveal next week’s pick at the end of every show, so you can watch along with us and be prepared for the following episode. Join us, and thanks for listening!

One thought on “Ep. 143: Ghost Watch (1992)”

  1. P.S. Regarding the horseshoe-like symbol mentioned in this episode that appears as the shape of the brooch on Dr. Lin Pascoe (Gillian Bevan) — AND — the demonic birthmark symbol in “End of Days” (1999), that same symbol is ALSO remarkably similar to the Lululemon logo. Weird, right? Thanks for listening! -J
