  1. Of all the times I’ve heard Jay talk about being slap happy, the end of this episode is the paradigm of that description.

  2. It’s been ages since I’ve seen a really good, really scary horror movie. The problem stems from poor scripts, as it usually does, and budget-conscious gimmicks like zombies and found footage.

Speaking of the latter, if filmmakers can’t at least make their films look halfway decent, they’re going to lose me as a viewer right from the get-go.

    1. There are plenty of terrific horror movies out there! Are you more into older horror? But you’re bringing up something I talk about all the time… I’m all about solid scripts and a film looking good. YouTubers these days can pump out something that looks as good as a Hollywood movie. It’s built into the editing software a lot of the time. When I see a movie made NOW that has a bad aesthetic, it’s like, “Come on, man… the 10 year old YouTube kid just made a vlog that looks like it came out of Hollywood, and he edits the videos himself!” LOL
